It’s strange how the things you quietly fall in love with as a kid never really leave you. The books, the movies, the obsessions you couldn’t explain back then — they sit somewhere deep, quietly shaping how you see the world. I never realized how much of my design instinct came from those small, magical fixations until this collection started to take form.
Growing up, I was completely enchanted by fantasy worlds. The Chronicles of Narnia, The Illusionist, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Hobbit—they weren’t just stories to me; they were places I wanted to live in. I was obsessed with the idea that a ring could hold power, a locket could hold memory, and a map could lead you somewhere unknown. It wasn’t about fantasy for fantasy’s sake — it was the feeling of meaning being hidden in objects. That magic could live in the everyday life if you just looked close enough.
I didn’t know it then, but that sense of wonder never left. It just...changed form.
Years later, when I moved to the coast, something clicked. The sea had the same pull — mysterious, quiet, and powerful without trying. It made you feel like you were in the presence of something ancient. It doesn’t give you everything at once. It holds back; makes you listen. It reminded me of those stories I loved as a child, where not everything is explained — some things you just feel.
That’s when Tides of Time began taking shape — not just as a jewelry collection, but as a world. A place that feels like it might’ve been lost and rediscovered. Something between a memory and a myth. I kept thinking: what if the jewelry felt like it had a past? Like it had traveled far, changed hands, been whispered about? Not shiny showroom pieces, but ones that feel found — like little relics that surfaced just for you.
I didn’t want perfection. I wanted Texture. Depth. I wanted each piece to feel like it had been carried by the tides — weathered, shaped by time, and full of secrets.
And I wanted it to feel personal. Almost like a quiet invitation.
That’s why we added a layer of gamification to the experience. Not in-your-face, but subtle. Hidden symbols, layered meanings, tiny surprises you notice only if you’re paying attention. Like little portals waiting to be opened. Because I didn’t want you to just see the collection. I wanted you to go on a small journey with it. To feel like you’re uncovering something — something only you might understand. That’s exactly how we approached each piece in the collection. From the rawness of the pearls to the quiet symbols etched into stone, every detail is there to be discovered, not just seen.
The idea for Shell Drop ring started with a shell I found years ago, from a moment I kept picturing—a shell gently resting on the surface of water, just before it sinks. I wanted to translate that into something wearable. I paired a carved shell form with a soft, translucent Clear Quartz, shaped like a water droplet. It’s meant to feel fluid and grounded all at once.
On top, I placed a shell, textured and unpolished, almost like it had been pulled from the sand. The two forms together tell a quiet story—one that’s more about feeling than perfection. It’s minimal, but not plain. That was the balance I wanted.
The Moonlit Reef Earrings were one of those pieces that came together slowly, but instinctively. I knew I didn’t want them to be perfect or polished—I wanted them to feel organic, almost like they’d been shaped by the sea itself. That’s why I chose baroque pearls. Their irregular forms are what make them special—no two are the same, and there’s something really beautiful about that. They feel wild, natural, and honest.
I added tiny shell and star motifs to bring in that soft celestial touch—something that feels both ocean-worn and quietly magical. The final piece reminds me of fragments from a moonlit reef—delicate, a little mysterious, and full of quiet depth. Like something you’d stumble upon and keep close, not just for how it looks, but how it makes you feel.
The Mystic Palm Earrings were a bit of a journey in themselves. I didn’t approach them with a fixed plan—it was more like building a story, one element at a time. With Mystic Palm, I played with contrasts—soft and structured, earthy and celestial. The palm leaf anchors the design.
At the center, we placed a glass stone etched with a star. It adds light, but more than that, it brings a sense of direction and then, we grounded the piece with a baroque pearl, each one is different, shaped by time and tide, never repeating itself. That’s what makes the pearl feel so special—it doesn’t try to be perfect, but somehow, it completes the story.
Tides of Time is really a love letter to everything that ever made me dream — to the spells cast by Spirited Away and The Secret Garden, the hush of ancient ruins in Tomb Raider, the riddles in The Da Vinci Code, the timeless love in The Fountain, and even the quiet, haunting beauty of Memoirs of a Geisha.
Fantasy, memory, the sea, silence, magic, heritage — these are the elements that shaped this collection. And it’s for anyone who’s ever held on to a story — real or imagined — that made them feel something deeper than they could explain.
This collection was never just about jewelry; It was always about wonder. My hope is that as you explore it—through the pieces, through the interactive journey—you feel that too. That quiet sense of discovery, like stumbling on something lost and beautiful. Thanks for letting us share it with you.
